Dr. Heba Heba Abolaban

Dr. Heba has a strong passion for teaching girls and women about their beautiful bodies and how Allah swt has blessed them with innate honor. About the class instructor: AlhamduleAllah, Dr. Heba Abolaban is a Palestinian public health doctor who had the honor to memorize the entire Quran and studied ilm Al-Tajweed at the age of 12 while living back in Syria. She is also certified in teaching Nooraniyyah. Since a young age, she has had the honor to study various authentic Islamic studies and by the grace of Allah subhanah w ta'ala, she holds three ijazaat in Qira'at Al-Quran, in Hafs, Shu'bah and Warsh. Currently, she is in the process of acquiring her ijaza in qira'at Qaloon as well as ijaza in Mukhtasar Sahih Al-Bukhari. Heba considers herself a knowledge seeker who is always eager to learn and she does enjoy teaching others what she has learned :) AlhamduleAllah. May Allah accept and increase us all in knowledge 🤲🏼 Professionally, Dr. Abolaban is a physician who obtained her medical degree from Damascus Medical School, Syria. She then went on to obtain her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Northeastern University in Boston. She worked for several years at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) as a Women's Health Consultant. She has been working as an independent Muslim health consultant and educator for 11 years. She has had the honor to educate hundreds of healthcare professionals on cultural competency training and how to care for our Muslim patients and clients. AlhamduleAllah, she also developed the female puberty in Islam 2-day course and has been teaching it for years to Muslim girls (aged 9-14) in North America and around the world. Dr. Abolaban also worked as an academic researcher at the Muslims Mental Health & Islamic Psychology Lab at Stanford University in California from 2019 to 2021. She currently lives with her family in Boston and offers a variety of online courses related to Islam and health in different topics, and she enjoys being a mother of three beautiful children, alhamduleAllah.
